Between April and May 2025, our team at Sahel International Support Foundation, through the Food Secure Mission, trained over 120 farmers, including women, in Nasarawa and Niger States on regenerative agriculture models.
The training covered practical, low-cost methods such as composting, zero tillage, and organic pest control, empowering farmers to boost yields while preserving soil health. Drought-resistant seeds were distributed to support climate-resilient farming.
This builds on our 2024 intervention, where we provided over ₦5 million in interest-free loans to farmers. All loans were fully repaid, accompanied by inspiring testimonies of
bountiful harvests. From the proceeds, some farmers purchased motorcycles, others acquired processing machines, and many expanded their farms by securing additional land.
Community leaders and traditional rulers have expressed deep appreciation, describing the initiative as a revived hope for food security. Follow-up inspection visits have already shown improved crop resilience, and our team will continue to monitor progress to ensure long-term impact.
